Designed by swedish design student love hultén (lars 
hansson), '4M' is a small wooden PC artifact and computer monitor. the 
lightly steampunk aesthetic includes among its design influences HAL9000 of 
stanley kubrick's '2001: a space odyssey', for what hultén describes as a 
'semi-organic' look that bridges the boundary between technology and 
nature.
The front panel of the CPU case is composed of walnut lumber, 
featuring a ball handle joystick and brass window with magnifying lens that 
looks in on the CPU cooler inside. likewise of walnut, the minimalist computer 
monitor stand is constructed with brass nuts and bolts; adjustable via a 
tilting mount and cord.
